
"Hal Jackson: The House That Jack Built" will be a 1 hour documentary which tells the story of a pioneer in broadcasting, Mr. Hal Jackson. The story tells of his passion for the craft, his passion for empowering people to achieve, and his struggle to overturn social injustice at a time of racial segregation and social injustice . He has touched the lives of the community, those who strive to build careers in broadcast radio and television, those who desire to become entertainers, and everyday people.
This project began in 2008 and is in much need of completition funding. The project is slated for PBS broadcast upon completion.
Completion Funding of $10,000 will insure the following:
- Remaining 3-4 interviews (to include Ted Mills, Smokey Robinson, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Nelson George)
- Archival film acquisition, photo acquisition and restoration, music licensing, graphics, audio sweetening
- Post Production (to include hiring an Editor to rough cut and finalize the documentary)
